Making Your Application for September 2025

You must complete the Common Application Form [CAF] which must go back to your home Local Authority (LA). That being the Local Authority where you live, not where your child attends school. This should be done online by visiting their website. The link for Wolverhampton LA can be found here:

    http://www.wolverhampton.gov.uk/admissions

Hard copies of the form can be obtained on request from the Local Authority. Wolverhampton LA give you five preferences. The first being the school you would most like your son/daughter to attend. We strongly recommend that you use all of your preferences to avoid being allocated a school you had not considered. If you do not name St Peter’s Collegiate Academy as one of your 5 preferences, you will not be considered for a place. If St Peter’s Collegiate Academy is the school, you would most like your son/daughter to attend, then you must put St Peter’s Collegiate Academy as your first preference.

The deadline for completing the CAF is 31st October 2024.

If you are applying for a Foundation Place (for families who are faithful and regular worshippers of a church which is a member of Churches Together in Britain and Ireland or Churches together in England) you must also complete a Supporting Evidence Form [SEF] which can be found below together with our Admissions Policy and Help & Guidance notes. Please read these carefully to assist you in completing the form.

You must complete details of your faith commitment, along with support from your church leader. If the church leader is unavailable, then another member of the faith community in authority can complete it on their behalf. Attach all relevant evidence to support your application. Use a separate sheet if necessary.

Please be aware that siblings are not guaranteed a place so you must fill in ALL sections of the form to show us about your faith commitment.

We can only take into account the information presented on the SEF, so please tell us all relevant information about your child, including any medical or pastoral needs.

The completed Supporting Evidence Form must be returned to the Admissions Team at St Peter’s Collegiate Academy by 12pm on Monday 2nd December 2024.

On National Offer DayMonday 3rd March 2025, (if you applied online) you will receive an email from the LA to advise which school you have been allocated. If you did not apply online, you will have to wait for a letter to be sent through the post.

If you named St Peter’s Collegiate Academy as a higher preference to the school you've been allocated, you will automatically be placed on the waiting list, which is maintained until 31st December 2025.

    Appeals

Families who have made an application for their child to be admitted to the Academy but have been unsuccessful, have the right to appeal.

If you wish to appeal please call the St Peter’s Admissions Team on 01902 558600 option 5 or email admissions@stpetersacademy.org.uk in the first instance.

Details of your appeal should then be sent to School Admissions at City of Wolverhampton Council and full details can be found here: Independent Admission Appeal Form | City Of Wolverhampton Council

Once received by the Clerk to the Appeals panel at the Civic Centre, a hearing for your case to be heard by an Independent Appeals Panel will be arranged. You do not have to be present at the Appeal as it will still be heard in your absence. Also present at the appeal will be a representative from the Academy.

Once all hearings have taken place, a decision will be made and you will be informed in writing of the outcome.

If you have any questions, please contact the Academy Admissions Department on 01902 558600 (option 5).
