Thank you so much for your attendance at the New Intake Evening. I do hope you had the opportunity to speak with your child’s Form Tutor and most of your questions have been answered.

We are looking forward to welcoming you and your child to our St Peter’s family. To make the move to St Peter’s even smoother for you and your child, please see below links to where you can find information on the academy website to answer some of the points raised during the evening.

Term for ALL students begins on Wednesday 4th September.

Please note that the academy buses are scheduled to arrive 8.20am in time for academy gates opening.

    By car

Please use the turning circle to drop off before 8.20am. PLEASE DO NOT ADD TO CONGESTION BY ATTEMPTING TO DROP OFF AT THE ACADEMY BUILDINGS OR ANYWHERE ELSE ALONG THE SPINE ROAD.

    Catering

At St Peter's Collegiate Academy, we seek to provide our students with a healthy and balanced diet. We are conscious that our students have specific dietary requirements. Therefore, our caterers, Aspens, clearly label and display allergy information, whether it is a vegetarian/vegan item and if it is halal. If students are unsure, the Aspens and Academy staff are available at break and lunch to assist. Our halal range includes all chicken sandwich fillings, pizza toppings and chicken items. At lunch every day, there is a plated meal available to students, as well as sandwiches. The plated meal changes every day, allowing students to benefit from a diversified and nourishing diet.

Further information including menus can be found here:

    Medication

Please make sure that you inform us of any medication your child is to take during the academy day (other than inhalers). This should be placed in a clear plastic container marked with your child's name, form group and dosage, then given to Miss Carlyle, Medical Officer in our Reception building.

    Class Charts

Please use the link below to learn how to access and use the online behaviour and reward app

    https://www.stpetersacademy.org.uk/page/?title=Class+Charts&pid=61

Please note; in addition to rewards for meeting and exceeding academy expectations, we also use detentions as one of the sanctions for not meeting standards. It is vital you download and start to use the Class Charts Parent App, as Detentions are issued to be attended THE SAME DAY.

    Instrumental Lessons

St Peter’s has an established reputation for outstanding musical performance, creating many opportunities such as concerts, residentials, and foreign tours for students learning an instrument. Understandably, many of the students joining us from primary school are eager to become involved in this music making.

Whether your child has already started instrumental music lessons at primary and wishes to continue at secondary school, or whether they wish to commence learning an instrument when they start at St Peter’s in September, please complete the letter below and send it in to your child’s Form Tutor. Places are limited, so please note this will be on a first-come, first-served basis.
