St Peter's Alumni Reunion: A Heart-warming Celebration of Memories and Connections

On Wednesday 20th March 2024, St Peter's Collegiate Academy hosted a remarkable event that brought together over 150 St Peter's alumni for a heart-warming evening filled with reminiscing, reflecting, and reconnecting. The event served as a poignant reminder of the enduring bond shared amongst members of the St Peter's community, while also marking the official start of the exciting rebuild programme.

Attendees of the reunion, representing various graduating classes and walks of life, gathered to celebrate the cherished memories and lifelong connections forged during their time at St Peter's Collegiate Academy. From shared stories of triumph and camaraderie to heartfelt laughter and joyous reunions, the event encapsulated the profound impact that St Peter's has had on the lives of countless individuals over the years.

Mr Tim Mullen-Furness, Principal of St Peter’s Collegiate Academy, said that the event had been “a celebration of the 'old block's' legacy in the lives of our ex-students and colleagues.  It mark[ed] an important transition point for the Academy in its long history as a Church of England school in the City of Wolverhampton.  Over the next twenty months, the Academy will benefit from a significant partial rebuild, providing students with 21st century facilities to prepare them for jobs of the future.  It's an exciting time for us all.”

The overwhelming success of the reunion has ignited excitement and enthusiasm amongst alumni, sparking discussions about future gatherings and initiatives aimed at further strengthening the ties within the St Peter's community. Plans for upcoming events include nostalgic trips down memory lane aboard old school buses, anticipated reunions, and the possibility of alumni-led career fairs.

"We're thrilled about these opportunities to deepen our connections with our cherished alumni network," said Karen Walker, Communications & Public Relations Coordinator at St Peter's Collegiate Academy. "Our alumni play an integral role in the continued success and growth of our school, and we're excited to explore new ways to engage with and celebrate their contributions."
