Celebrating Ten Years of Staffordshire Police Cadets

To commemorate a decade of Police Cadets in Staffordshire Police, a celebratory event was held at the beginning of March, graced by the presence of the Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh.

At the anniversary attestation, cadets were recognised for their service, surrounded by proud family and friends as they took their oath. It was a truly memorable moment for all involved!

Following the ceremony, HRH The Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh engaged with cadets, learning about the program's impactful work and meeting its dedicated leaders and volunteers.

St Peter’s Collegiate Academy student, Hannah S, joined the cadets three years ago, seeking a new experience outside her musical pursuits. From Section Leader to Drill Officer, and finally Head Cadet, Hannah’s swift progression up the ranks has been nothing if not impressive. Through cadets, Hannah has had the privilege of participating in various events, from Birmingham Pride to Cancer Research UK Mud Runs. Over the last year alone, she's dedicated over 145 hours to volunteering with the cadets.

Hannah said of her experience, ‘I have really enjoyed working with a group of people who I wouldn’t normally have had the chance to get to know. It has been a great organisation to become part of, and I feel included in the wider police family.’

Here's to a decade of service, growth, and making a difference in our communities!
