Another group of young people have joined the City of Wolverhampton Youth Council. The 49 successful candidates – who all attend schools across the city – were officially announced at a special event in the Council Chamber this week.
Today, our St Peter’s community came together to support Save the Children’s Christmas Jumper Day. Staff and students donned their festive outfits, with standout looks including Mr Newbould-Smith’s festive suit, and a trio of Grinches!
We are deeply saddened to learn of the sudden passing of our former student, Liam Payne. During his time at St Peter's Collegiate Academy, Liam was not only well-liked by his peers and teachers but also recognised for his talents. He made a positive impact on our school community, and his contributions will be remembered.

We are delighted to announce that St Peter's Collegiate Academy has achieved the School Games Gold Mark Award for the 2023/24 academic year. This prestigious award is part of a Government-led scheme, facilitated by the Youth Sport Trust, which recognises schools for their commitment to developing competition both within the school and across the community.

In a remarkable display of talent and dedication, St Peter’s Collegiate Academy’s Coach Anderson represented the Great Britain Over 40s team at the European MaxiBasketball Championships in Pesaro, Italy (20th to 29th June 2024). The tournament, featuring top veteran basketball players from Europe, saw Great Britain finish sixth with a balanced record of three wins and three losses.
🎉 Last night was an unforgettable evening at our Year 11 Prom held at Molineux Stadium! All of the students looked absolutely fabulous, making it a perfect celebration of their achievements over the past five years. A huge thank you to the staff who attended and made the event even more memorable for the students.

St. Peter's Collegiate Academy's community and the wider Wolverhampton area are proud to announce that Douaine Anderson, Director of Three Spires SLAM! Basketball Academy, and a cherished member of our community, will be flying overseas on Thursday, 20th June to represent Team Great Britain Over 40s in the European Maxibasketball Championship in Pesaro, Italy. This prestigious 10-day tournament marks the third time Coach Anderson has represented Great Britain in an international tournament, having previously competed in Malaga, Spain in 2022 and Mar del Plata, Argentina in 2023.
In a breathtaking display of skill and determination, the Team Wolverhampton SLAM! Ladies triumphed in the YBL Women's Division 2 Finals last Sunday, edging out BigSky Basketball with a final score of 70 to 66 in an intense overtime battle.
