A group of students visited the Inspiring the Black Country careers and skills event held at Wolverhampton Racecourse. Students were able to talk to a range of employers, apprenticeship providers, training providers and colleges including Balfour Beatty, Cadent, NHS, In Comm, Assa Abloy, Juniper Training and many more and ask about the range of skills required for their future aspirations.
They were able to watch demonstrations and even have some hands-on training. They toured a hydro-bus, used a Batak wall, tested their football skills and watched walking robots.
All students found the experience very rewarding and felt they left the event with lots of new ideas about their future careers.
