Making Your Application for September 2022

To make an application for your child to be admitted to St Peter’s Collegiate Academy in September 2022, there are two parts to the process you need to follow.

Firstly, you must complete the Common Application Form [CAF] which must go back to your home Local Authority. That being the Local Authority where you live, not where your child attends school. This should be done online by visiting their website. The link for Wolverhampton LA can be found here: Hard copies of the form can be obtained on request from the Local Authority.

Wolverhampton LA give you 5 preferences. The 1st being the school you would most like your son/daughter to attend. We strongly recommend that you use all of your preferences to avoid being allocated a school you had not considered. If you do not name St Peter’s as one of your 5 preferences, you will not be considered for a place. If St Peter’s is the school, you would most like your son/daughter to attend; then you must put St Peter’s as your 1st preference!

The deadline for completing the CAF is 31st October 2021

The second part of the process is to complete a Supporting Evidence Form [SEF], which is found below, where you can also find our Admissions Criteria and Help & Guidance notes. Please read these carefully to assist you in completing the form.

Unless applying for an Open Place, you must complete details of the family’s faith commitment, along with support from your Faith Leader. If the Faith Leader is unavailable, then another member of the faith community in authority can complete it on their behalf. Attach all relevant evidence to support your application. Use a separate sheet if necessary.

Please be aware that siblings are not guaranteed a place so you must fill in ALL sections of the form to show us about your faith commitment. Only if we are under subscribed will the sibling rule apply.

We can only take into account the information presented on the SEF, so please tell us all relevant information about the child, including any medical or pastoral needs.

The Academy does recognise that families have not been able to attend places of worship as they would normally do during the pandemic but we are aware that many places of worship have undertaken virtual worship and therefore, this will be taken into consideration.

The completed Supporting Evidence Form must be returned to The Admissions Officer at St Peter’s Collegiate Academy by 12 pm on Monday 6th December 2021.

On National Offer DayTuesday 1st March 2022, if you applied online you will receive an email from the LA to advise you which school you have been allocated. If you did not apply online, you will have to wait for a letter to be sent through the post.

If you named St Peter’s as a higher preference to the school you have been allocated you will automatically be placed on the waiting list, which is maintained until 31st December 2022
